Details
Higher performance is seen only in the World Cup. The side cut and reduced upward bend allows motions to be fluid and direct and the reaction time of the ski has also been reduced. Turns can be taken even faster and with more precision. Its patented Kessler Shape Technology (KST) also ensures ease of use and maximum control. Thanks to the variable radius, the performance secrets of Kessler-Swiss, one experiences the new driving experience of the PHANTOM-S at the highest level.
Length Model Radius Geometry 160 cm Phantom-S 9.5 - 12.5 m 124-68-106 mm 166 cm Phantom-S 10 - 13.5 m 125-68-107 mm 172 cm Phantom-S 11 - 15 m 123-68-106 mm 178 cm Phantom-S 14 - 18 m 119-68-101 mm Features:
- Plate: Multiflex Base
- Tyrolia PRD 12 GW
- Patented Kessler Shape Technology.
- Clothoid Sidecut.
- Sandwich Titanal Construction.
- Optimized K.Tec BP wood core.
- Phenol Sidewalls.
- Sintered Base.
- Scratch-resistant K.Tec F flamed Topsheet.
Characteristics:
Kessler Shape Technology
a) Ski under load stress:
The red line corresponds to the contact surface in the snow. This is shorter than with the traditional ski. The ski is therefore very easy to turn. At the same time the small aggressive radii at the point of the ski and at the end are eliminated, which means that the ski can not catch on these points.
KST = EASY HANDLINGb) Ski under load stress, tipped over:
When tipped, the contact surface becomes larger, the contact points move towards the front and the back, and this leads to very high curve control and grip. At the same time ever smaller radii are exerted. Depending on how the ski is tipped, tight turns as well as wide swings can be carved out at any speed in a controlled manner.
KST = WORLD CLASS PERFORMANCEKST – that means rocker comfort on the piste and icy terrain. A technology quantum leap resembling that of the carving revolution. The Kessler Shape Technology, developed and patented by Hansjürg Kessler, enables us to combine the enjoyable effects of rocker boards and -skis on the ski piste with the demands of safety, the grip of edges, and stability. The special clothoid board geometry allows applying an infinite number of radii on turns and permits variable turn radii with one and the same pair of skis: carving small and tight turns as well as long drawn-out turns at all speed levels. The pressure of the edges is effective where it is needed and at the same time reduced where it is handicapped. There is no longer the danger of easily catching edges, and the strain reduction on the body is a huge gain of safety at all performance levels.
