It’s time to celebrate a jubilee: for more than 50 years, the uvex downhill 2000 series has been protecting winter sports enthusiasts against sun, wind and snow while recording many successes in the World Cup. It’s high time then for a really inspired upgrade of these iconic ski goggles: the uvex downhill 2100 V goggles score points with the uvex variomatic® technology for smooth-transition automatic tinting that adapts to a wide range of light situations on the piste in no time at all. Integrated uvex supravision® anti-fog coating reliably prevents the spherical lens from steaming up for optimum vision at all times. In addition to the technical features, the goggles impress above all with their reduced frame design and an improved fit with extended nose pad. They fit perfectly into various helmet models and, thanks to OTG technology also allow spectacle wearers sufficient space for their prescription eyewear.

The self-tinting lenses in uvex ski goggles automatically and continuously meter their translucency between light and dark within a very short time – for optimal vision in all weathers.Protection level S1–S3
Sun, clouds, snow, or fog: when skiing, clear vision and high protection is important for the eyes. The uvex self-tinting lenses automatically and continuously meter the light transmission between the three protection levels S1, S2, and S3 within a very short time. The levels of protection indicate the light transmittance of the lens in percent – the smaller the value, the less light penetrates the glass.
The protection level S1 is perfect for skiing in bad weather and offers a light transmission of 44–80%. Thanks to lens tinting, skiing is also possible in poor visibility and low light. For cloudy days with changing light and weather conditions, the best protection is guaranteed with S2 – a light transmission of 19–43%. For bright conditions on the ski slopes on sunny days, the lens automatically darkens to protection level 1 with a light transmittance of 9–18%. Like all uvex glasses, the lenses also offer 100% protection against UVA, UVB and UVC radiation.

With uvex ski goggles with variomatic technology, you are prepared for different weather conditions between sunny and dark. The decision between different ski goggles or lenses are thus eliminated. Distortions and curving in the field of view can easily lead to confusion on the slopes. uvex Class 1 injection moulded decentred lenses deliver clear, distortion-free vision in accordance with EN 174 and are designed for the toughest demands of winter sports.

Works twice as long as the standard requires: 60 seconds of fog protection instead of the prescribed 30 seconds. Increases your safety and provides clear vision even in the poorest conditions.
[UV protection] uv-ex = ultraviolet excluded
uv-ex = ultraviolet excluded / UV absorption is built directly into the raw material and filters 100 % UV rays up to 400 nm. All lenses provide 100 % UVA, UVB and UVC protection – the basis for our company name: uv-ex = ultraviolet excluded.
